Dear Parent / Referring Agency,
Bounce is lead by our students and so they are held in university term times only.
Bounce is always great fun and as always, all sessions are FREE of charge.
NEW TERM STARTS From Saturday 20th January – March 9th 2024 Time: 2pm – 4pm,
- NEW Venue: Brownsfield Community Centre 31a Green End Road, Cambridge CB4 1RU
If you are new to Bounce, it is a free activity club for children aged between 5- 11 years of age. Activities include multi sports, arts and craft and board games. The aim of this program is to give an opportunity to children who wouldn’t usually be able to engage in these activities due to financial or other disadvantages.
Due to the health and safety of all participants we need all children to be able to follow instructions, actively engage in the activities and be fully toilet trained. Parents are asked to stay for the first session, at least until the volunteers and child are happy for them to leave.
All sessions are run by volunteers from Student Community Action. We get at least one reference for all of our volunteers plus an enhanced DBS check on all the leaders and volunteers. The volunteers are aged between 18-21 years and are students from Cambridge University. They organise activities and supervise the children during the session, working on a voluntary basis.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Please collect your child promptly at 4pm.
Parking:- There are car parking facilities at Brownsfield community centre,
Financial Assistance:- Although all sessions are free, we understand that there are costs associated with getting your child to and from the sessions. If this is an issue for you, please email or speak to Nicky as we may be able to reimburse bus fares if you keep the receipts.
