Update from October 2021
We are moving back to face-to-face activities from October 2021. We will be focusing on a smaller selection of projects (more info on our Projects and Opportunities page!). After you Sign Up with us, we will arrange a chat with you to find which project fits your interests and time commitments. Our office is open on Mondays by prior appointment and you are welcome to email us at any time.
Welcome to Cambridge and welcome to volunteering!
Student Community Action has been providing volunteering opportunities that fit in with student lifestyle since 1972! Volunteering can add a significant amount of fun into your time here in Cambridge. You not only get to help vulnerable members of the Cambridge community, you also get to experience life outside the student bubble and make friendships that last beyond your time here!
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
Accessibility and Equality
Student Community Action is an organisation which values diversity and inclusion at its heart. We actively encourage applications from volunteers of any gender identity, race, ability, religion, or nationality. If you have any questions or concerns, or ways that we could support you better, then please do get in touch!
The SCA Office is in the basement of the Cambridge Student Union building (17 Mill Lane). There is wheelchair access via a lift. There is padded seating, an accessible toilet, a gender-neutral toilet, natural light and blue badge parking is available across the road on Trumpington Street, in front of Ede and Ravenscroft. For training and events, we can also request access to a hearing loop, so do contact us in advance if you would like to use it.
